WILL YOU BE OUR HERO?
KSD Highlands has a unique position for the first 500 people who can each raise £1,000 to build the foundations of the centre for peace and health on Loch Ness-side.
We are creating a roll of honour - a one-time only opportunity to be a FOUNDER of a centre that will not only help people to find ways of reducing stress levels and anxiety now but will also live on and benefit generations to come.
We already know our precious Samye Ling Lamas, Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, can work miracles - you only have to look at the many centres they have created across the West in the past 40 years, not least of which are Samye Ling itself and Holy Isle. Now where better than the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and the shores of world-famous Loch Ness on which to build a 21st century centre for peace and health - a centre that, by its very position, can be visited by many of the one million-plus tourists who travel to the area annually and which will no doubt attract many new ones.
Our major fundraising drive this year is to ask for the help of 500 Heroes who will become the Founders of the Centre for Peace and Health on Loch Ness.
You can fundraise or donate in any way you would like - e.g. by holding a car boot sale, selling tea and cakes to your neighbours in your garden, taking on a sponsored event of your own wishes. Or you can take part in one of our pre-arranged sponsored events, such as a cycle run from Samye Ling to Inverness that is being planned.
KSD Highlands has an active fundraising team but we'd appreciate your help. We really would like to hear from you if you have any ideas so please email them to fundraising@highlands.samye.org.
This is the one big push just now - to help us finance our new centre - so please give even the smallest donation if you can support this important venture.
You can also help fundraise by visiting our Donations and Offerings page and making a donation via PayPal. No matter how large or small the donation, we will be extremely grateful and send you warm dharma wishes.
Some practical ways forward:
- If you wish to raise your hero cash by taking part in a sponsored event we will provide you with support - please email fundraising@highlands.samye.org to register.
- You may wish to make an outright donation - please do so by using the bank details below to make a payment into our account (this is our preferred method of payment as there are no charges, as with PayPal)
- Or you may choose a combination of these two possibilities. We don't mind which!

PLEASE NOTE: ALL THE FUNDING RAISED FOR THIS CENTRE WILL STAY HERE IN THE HIGHLANDS AND ALL ADMIN WILL BE CARRIED OUT ENTIRELY FREE OF CHARGE BY KSD HIGHLANDS VOLUNTEERS, IN KEEPING WITH THE ROKPA ETHIC, TO ALLOW 100% OF FUNDS TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE 500 HEROES PROJECT.
