HELP FIND A HOME FOR HIS HOLINESS 14TH DALAI LAMA'S PEACE POLE
When His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama made his first visit to the beautiful Highlands of Scotland in June 2012, he left us a very special gift. In a private ceremony at Eden Court Theatre, His Holiness gave his endorsement to the plans to build a centre for world peace and health here in the north - and, in practical terms, did that by blessing a specially crafted 10 foot high Peace Pole.
The Peace Pole, a sturdy and enduring slab of solid Lochaber oak, now needs a permanent home where it can be a beacon of hope for His Holiness's most heartfelt wish - peace for this world. KSD Highlands is fundraising to establish the first dedicated Centre for World Peace and Health in the north of Scotland. And in prime position on the land will be His Holiness Dalai Lama's Peace Pole, with all the blessings that will bring people who come from near and far.
HELP US FINISH THE STORY ...
The hills around Loch Ness have been chosen by Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche as the setting for the World Centre for Peace and Health. KSD Highlands is on the way to obtaining funding for a suitable property in which to establish the first phase of the centre.
We would hope that first phase of the Centre for World Peace and Health will open soon. But there is still quite a way to go financially so we are appealing to anyone who would like to help establish the centre to donate by making a payment on this page.
HERE'S HOW ...
If you wish to contribute to the Centre for Peace and Health in any way, or indeed to Kagye Samye Dzong Highlands, please use the Donate button below. All donations, however, small or large, are mindfully and gratefully received.
Thank you from everyone at KSD Highlands and please come and see the Peace Pole for yourself once you help us create its home.
